Shiatsu is a traditional hands-on Japanese healing therapy that has its origins in Traditional Chinese Medicine and the historical massage techniques of Japan. Shiatsu employs finger, palm or elbow pressure, from a light touch to deeper work in accordance to the client’s condition and comfort. Shiatsu can be used to work with any or all of the disorders for which Acupuncture can be used.

Sotai is a gentle yet powerful technique of body realignment. Sotai can relieve pain, improve range of motion and release long-held muscular tensions that can lead to misalignment. Sotai releases tensions in the muscles, ligaments and tendons, allowing the joints to return to their proper places. Valued for its simplicity, Sotai is an excellent body therapy.

Western Massage techniques offered include: Swedish, Sports and Deep Tissue. These styles, on their own, can speed recovery, break down scar tissue, and improve circulation and lymphatic drainage. Massage has long been used by athletes to gain a competitive edge. The New England Patriots' Coach, Bill Belichick, actually requires team members to receive a minimum of three hours of massage a week.
